Xiaomi is working on a new sound charging technology, according to reports.


According to patents submitted by the Chinese tech giant, which claims to be India’s top smartphone brand, the next charging solution would use sound to recharge smartphones as well as other electronics’ batteries.




The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) patent photos reveal some critical elements about Xiaomi’s sound charging patent. According to the documents, it will apparently use a sound charging gadget, an energy storage device, and an

These gadgets will capture sound and convert vibrations in the surroundings into mechanical vibrations. Xiaomi will also include an electronic device that will convert the mechanical device to an alternating current. Finally, the power converter will convert AC to DC (Direct Current).




NEW HIKES OF XIAOMI


The company recently unveiled its 200W HyperCharge technology, which can fully charge a 4000 mAh battery in under eight minutes. It also demonstrated Mi Air Charge, which recharges the device’s batteries without the use of a charging cable or adapters.
